Job Description
Sr. Quality Engineers, Stamping with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Support stamping process as well as sub assembly process. Work hand in hand with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Quality to develop robust solutions for built in quality processes. Work cross functionally to support PFMEA development for Stamping process. Support tooling engineers in dimensional and class A reviews before tools arrive to plant. Lead dimensional and class A quality loop feedback as tools are validated in plant. Support continuous improvement efforts post SOP and lead root cause problem solving. Establish APQP process in stamping area. Lead MES validation and data development and establish equipment parameters that need to be monitored.
RQMTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field and 2 years of [or a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent as stated above and 5 years of] experience as Quality Engineer or related occupation. Experience must include working with BIW in an automotive environment; AIAG, APQP and related tools; Blueprint reading and Class “A” surface; GD&T; and reviewing dimensional data of parts and work on dimensional improvements.
