A Competitive Intelligence Analyst is responsible for understanding and analyzing competitors' strategies/tactics, solutions offered, product features, price points, and strengths/weaknesses.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide competitive intelligence support to different functional teams, focusing on public safety software and cybersecurity
Conduct in-depth research to identify Motorola Solutions' and competitors' strengths and weaknesses at corporate and product/service levels
Identify key market trends and competitive dynamics
Create easy-to-understand competitive intelligence reports, such as battle cards, beat sheets, pricing analysis, and deep dive on a specific competitor
Interact with sales, product teams, and the marketing organization to differentiate our value to customers worldwide
Support sales with specific projects and opportunities, such as providing bid pricing and competitive positioning recommendations
Contribute content to periodic competitive newsletters
Conduct win/loss analysis
Proactively identify key non-traditional threats and new market opportunities
Learn new technologies and markets quickly
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or Information Systems
Strong analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence
Excellent project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams independently
Ability to focus on details as well as the bigger picture
Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting
Experience in a fast-paced team environment and comfortable in ambiguous and rapidly evolving situations
Ability to structure complex problems in simple, easy-to-understand ways
Existing experience in Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, or Communications preferred
