The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in the GPS Global Engineering Services division.
As the Procurement specialist, you’ll will effectively serve as a point of contact for events such as caterings, reservations, bookings, and other services.
What You’ll Work On
+ Serves as a point of contact for reservations, bookings, equipment, event menu development and other such services
+ Communicates to internal and external clients
+ Coordinates logistics, setup/knockdown and on-site problem resolution
+ Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
+ Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
+ Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner
+ May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications
+ High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
+ 4+ years catering related experience.

+ Maintains high standards for work areas.
+ Maintains a positive attitude.
+ Ability to work a flexible schedule helpful and overtime.
+ Must comply with any dress code requirements.
+ May work occasional late afternoons – weekends.
+ Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
+ Lift 30+ lbs. Bend, twist, standing (3+ hrs)
+ This Catering Position will be primarily catering, but at times may be asked to help with other aspects of the food service business to become cross trained (cashiering, serving, food preparation)

The base pay for this position is $14.10 – $27.90 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
