Job Description

The Data Product Manager (DPM) position will be part of the International BTS Winning With Data team. This role will be responsible for developing the vision, strategy, and roadmap to help build commercial and marketing data solutions with cross-functional teams such as data science, engineering, product owners, and other stakeholders. The DPM is responsible for finding ways to leverage data throughout an entire product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop the vision, strategy, and roadmap to help build data solutions for commercial and marketing with cross-functional teams such as data science, engineering, product owners, and other stakeholders.

+ Champion adoption of and educate stakeholders on leveraging data you make available.

+ React to short-term needs but build for long-term success.

+ Drive execution of data projects spanning data engineering, platform engineering, and analytics.

+ Build a deep understanding of upstream/downstream systems and processes and how they should shape data model design and impact adjacent systems.

+ Champion a culture of partnerships and engagement with data consumers and producers.

+ Drive ongoing interaction across various business units to engage analysts on respective functional teams and streamline data access, analysis, and analytics designs.

+ Develop expertise in data sources, both external and internal, and partner with the Winning With Data Team to implement data governance and data quality initiatives.

+ Provide vital opinion-leading clients with comprehensive strategic analyses and insights to help them discover strategic uses of technology products and services.

+ Works very closely with product owners, business analysts, project managers, different levels of users, external vendors, and global and affiliate stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years experience; Master’s Degree with 6 years experience; PhD with 2 years experience.

+ 4+ years of experience with SQL, Python, Spark, R, etc. to perform data analysis and drive insights from data.

+ 4+ years of experience with data modeling, robust data analysis, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing concepts.

+ Understanding of the modern commercial technology ecosystem, including tracking, measurement, formats, and presentation.

+ Strong investigative, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

+ Experience in implementing analytics solutions – multi-users/multi geographies/very large databases.

+ Experience in defining integration strategy with multiple systems.

+ Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

+ Experience with privacy, compliance, and governance in the Pharmaceutical industry preferred.
