Job Description
This company in Saint Charles creates various powder coatings that are then adapted to specific requirements per customer specification. Currently looking for a 2nd Shift Lead Operator hours are 2pm-10:30pm. Will be training on first shift for a few weeks with their 1st shift Metallic Supervisor.
Job Description:
Working with bonders, metallic pigments, to complete the process. They are working heavily with the QC department, but they need someone who is familiar with QC.
- Set up of blenders, mixers, and extruders using base parameters assigned by management
-Prepare pigments and bases together for upcoming runs
-Record operational data on computer controlled machinery and/or specified forms
-Clean and disassemble mixing and bonding equipment
-Prepare tooling for changeovers and perform machine changeovers
-Continually monitor production runs to detect defects or deviations from standards and make minor adjustments as necessary
-Transport finished runs or full skills to shipping warehouse
-Work to continuously improve all areas of productivity and reduce scrap
-Must be able to lift 50lbs if the machine is running non stop it could be 20 boxes per hour. Assuming the machine is continuously running. The machines at the most can run 500kg/hour (25Kg/50lbs).
Requirements:
2 years of leadership experience
Previous manufacturing experience operating, performing set-ups, and troubleshooting
Experienced performing quality control throughout operating process
Work Environment:
Temperature controlled facility. Recently constructed a new building so will be working in either newer or brand new building. Some areas can be dusty when mixing product.
Clean facility with organized layout. Large employee breakroom.
