Position Summary:

The Director, Medical Affairs Training Excellence, will oversee therapeutic-level medical training, operations processes, and strategic planning. Leading and driving accelerated Global Medical Affairs training initiatives while driving execution and performance through continuous process improvement, learning initiatives and programs and establishing seamless internal partnerships leading to sustainable organizational capabilities.

Responsibilities:

+ Work cross-functionally and globally to design and support Medical Affairs operations and training initiatives that are aligned to both US and global strategic plans.

+ Establish clearly defined training programs, operational initiatives, and managerial oversight to ensure cohesion within a specific therapeutic area by liaising with Medical Affairs leadership, Commercial, Compliance/Legal, Global partners, and other relevant stakeholders.

+ Lead ongoing internal Global Medical Affairs needs assessments and identify appropriate training opportunities

+ In consultation with internal stakeholders and others, introduce and embed improvements to establish an industry-leading Medical Affairs training program, operational excellence, and tactical outputs for strategic initiatives.

+ Oversee medical resource development for a specific therapeutic area and oversees approval, renewal and rollout processes.

+ Establish timelines, budgets, vendor oversight and outputs for key initiatives and develops dashboards and key performance indicators to socialize outcomes.

+ Leverage opportunities to support cross-functional collaboration, efficiencies and best practices across Medical Affairs TAs and international teams.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

+ Advanced scientific or medical degree strongly preferred (PharmD, PhD, MD)

+ A minimum of 4+ years of experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical or related industry.

+ A minimum of 7+ years of experience in Medical Affairs or Strategic Planning is highly desired.

+ Ability to learn, communicate and analyze scientific data.

+ Exhibits broad knowledge of pharmaceutical industry best practices relevant to this role.

+ Demonstrated excellence in management of multiple projects/priorities including objective setting, prioritization, planning and timelines, budgeting, and meeting management.

+ Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with senior management and establish effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

+ Capacity to gain support through established channels and identify relevant stakeholders and resources needed for optimal execution.

+ Awareness of the unique features of working in a highly regulated environment and all relevant compliance-related concerns.

+ Strong strategic planning skills

+ Ability to collaborate and support cross-functional teams

+ Strong communication and leadership skills

+ Experience working within a matrix organization preferred

+ Proven track record of success

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other related project management tools

+ Professional, proactive demeanor

Compensation and Benefits Summary:

The salary range for this role is $180,000.00-$220,000.00 annually. The base salary offered may vary based on the final candidate’s qualifications.?The level of this role may also change based on the final candidate’s qualifications.
