A growing client is looking to fill a Senior Accountant position and expand their team. They are hopeful that you will join their team! Major responsibilities
+ Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
+ Conduct analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
+ Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
+ Ensure compliance with legal guidelines and tax regulations in all applicable jurisdictions.
+ Support the Controller in month-end and year-end close processes.
+ Utilize advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, to analyze and manipulate data effectively.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help define and build new reports in preparation for transitioning to a new ERP system.
+ Assist in the review of accounts to identify and remove any unnecessary or outdated entries prior to the ERP conversion.
+ Communicate and work with an international presence in Canada, with the eventual transition to a local team.
Requirements+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
+ Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
+ Proficiency in using ERP systems and financial software.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Self-sufficiency and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
+ Experience with ERP system conversions or implementations is a plus.
