We are seeking a sales professional to join our Great Lakes Go-To-Market team and grow business in the region with an emphasis on Automotive and Aerospace/Government accounts. This strategic thinker and action-oriented person will leverage their relationships, industry knowledge, and knowledge of Systems and SoC design to proliferate and expand Synopsys Solutions to achieve revenue goals. Emphasis will be placed on the ability to align and link resources within Synopsys with technical and business executives at customers in the region. Key activities will include closing new business, account planning, forecasting, lead generation / qualification and delivery of sales presentations and proposals to new and existing customers.

Job Responsibilities and Activities
Create opportunities to build a pipeline to exceed quota based on insight and knowledge of the needs of customers and the market dynamics they work in
Work in a team environment and build relationships at executive, senior technical management, and key contributor levels.
Create, drive and close multi-million-dollar, complex, technical sales campaigns.
Act as a principal capable of marshaling resources across Synopsys Business Units (R&D, Marketing and Application Engineers), a global Sales team, Services, Finance and Legal and aligning them with the technical and business needs of the customer.
Accountable for developing complex technical sales plans, which may involve comparative displacements or inventive business agreements to meet or exceed pre-established quotas.
Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering or related field required (M.S. / M.B.A. or other advanced technical or business management degrees desired)
Minimum 10 years of sales and/or business development experience in EDA, semiconductors and engineering services.
Ideal candidate resides in the Midwest. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, primarily in Midwest and California.
Experience working with Automotive and Government/Aerospace customers is a plus. Skills
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills that can be applied to multiple audiences (technical, financial, executive)
Proven ability to think "outside the box" in new, original ways to problem solve and find new ways to build and grow opportunities between organizations.
Proficient in office productivity software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $111,000-$194,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
