Duties and Responsibilities 
 The Assistant Director is responsible for all recruitment and admission of students who are interested in studying abroad at Loyola's campus in Rome.
Working closely, with the Associate Director of Admission in Chicago and the Director of the John Felice Rome Center, the Assistant Director will develop and execute a strategic enrollment management plan to achieve the enrollment objectives for the JFRC. The activities will include; visits to targeted universities, establishing strong relationships with feeder institutions, attendance at recruitment fairs and other study abroad events. In addition, the incumbent will actively recruit prospective students maintain effective communications throughout the recruitment and admission process. Local, domestic and international travel are required.

- Actively recruits students to the JRFC for semester, year-long, and summer terms by attending study abroad fairs, setting up university visits, information sessions, webinars, and individual student appointments.
- Responsible for communicating with students throughout the recruitment and application process, as well as post admit until enrollment at JFRC.
- Represents Loyola at various study abroad events with partnered universities.
- Maintains and strengthens ongoing relationships with university administrators, faculty, and advisors as well as actively seeks out opportunities for new university partnerships for students interested in studying at the John Felice Rome Center.
- Actively engages and participates in appropriate professional organizations for the purpose of recruiting new students to the JRFC.
- Coordinates site visits with JFRC leadership to promote the Rome Center at educational institutions.
- Reads application files and makes timely admission decisions.
- Develops and executes communication flows to prospective and admitted students as well as university partners providing information on JFRC.
- Understands and can articulate courses and programs offered at the JRFC as well as tuition, financial aid, and visa processes.
- Coordinates any necessary communication from JFRC to prospective and admitted students and regularly communicates with faculty and staff at the JFRC regarding study abroad students.
- The position reports to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admission with a dotted-line report to the Director of the JFRC.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience 
 Master's degree in a related field or Bachelor's degree in related field plus 3 years of directly applicable work experience
Qualifications 
 - Experience in recruitment is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to form effective working relationships.
- Must be a team player with the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload.
- Bilingual skills/familiarity of Italian is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Must have the ability to articulate the values and mission of a Jesuit institution.
Certificates/Credentials/Licenses 
 Valid U.S. Drivers License Required. Valid passport required.
Computer Skills 
 MS Office software; ability to effectively utilize the internet and social media programs.
