This role is located in our Chicago office at: 8725 W. Higgins Rd., Suite 1000, Chicago, IL 60631
The schedule is hybrid: 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Sherwin-Williams, a leader in consumer packaged goods (CPG) in architectural paints and stains, is looking for an experienced team leader to oversee the accurate, on-time file assembly and production of our product labels.
The ideal candidate is a working manager with marketing-specific project management/traffic experience, taking on a portion of the project scheduling while you oversee the processes and performance of your team of project managers and label production artists. You'll...
Develop schedules, workflows, training and quality standards, recommending solutions based on an understanding of marketing production processes and the unique industry knowledge you gain over time.
Develop, defend and maintain department SOPs aimed at accuracy and best-practice discipline, ensuring they serve current business needs and evolve to change with the needs of our business.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, utilizing an understanding of all facets of label development - art development and versioning, proofreading, translations, regulatory and legal oversight, approval turnarounds, prepress proofing and print production, and manufacturing plant label requirements, to develop and maintain efficient project schedules.
Use best-practice tools to oversee a high volume of projects at varying speeds and stages, and always - constantly - staying in communication with the cross-functional team.
Collaborator, influencer and traffic cop, all in one.
Possesses a unique skill set to quickly grasp the complexities of a project, negotiate deadlines with a variety of stakeholders, and blow the whistle to stop and divert work when necessary.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree
Relevant experience
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
3+ years' people management experience.
3+ years' experience with packaging production in a CPG business, agency or prepress studio, or other translatable experience.
5+ years' experience with project management in an advertising agency or corporate creative department.
Preferred:
Must be a problem-solver and process ambassador, with strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Proactive attitude with a high level of motivation and a strong work ethic.
Strong business acumen; able to work cross-functionally as a subject-matter expert to implement and influence best practices.
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Adobe Acrobat
Basecamp
Preferred:
Workfront experience
General understanding of Creative Cloud programs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
