ACS is looking for a Java Developer in Chicago, ILJob Description
As a member of our Software Engineering Group, you will maintain, develop, code, test, debug and document programming applications to satisfy requirements of the technology group. You will also provide consultation to business and operations partners to identify, estimate and recommend technical solutions to meet requirements. This role will be involved in building customer facing functionality with a customer-first approach.
Required Qualifications
• Current hands-on development in Java/Spring with emphasis on any one of 3 major cloud providers AWS (preferred), Google, Azure
• Passionate about DevOps/SRE practices and new technologies around Deployment pipelines, Automation using AWS services, NoSQL databases and messaging systems like Kafka
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Working proficiency in development tool chain
• Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture, design and business processes
• 4-5 years of current hands-on development and programming experience on Object Oriented Programming Language in Java/Spring that are used in AWS
• Experience with modern agile software delivery practices such as Scrum/Kanban, Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) and Automation using Jenkins or equivalent framework
• Container Orchestration using native or managed Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Experience with Database technologies such as SQL
• Experience with any messaging systems such as Kafka, Kinesis, AWS MSK is a plus
• Any Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles such as Chaos Engineering, Observability
• Vendor Code Development
• ICR/OCR data extraction
• .NET Web application and Web service development
