On exception we will hire in secondary locations such as District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia. Overall Purpose

This position reports to the VP of Security Governance and Compliance and acts as a Technical Subject Matter Expert by providing technical and risk management expertise in improving and expanding the observability and reporting on the Security Posture of the Company. This position supports the enterprise-wide Information Security program as a trusted technical advisor by empowering team members to make risk-aware decisions in accordance with Early Warning's compliance, regulatory and departmental policy and procedures. The position requires a high level of technical knowledge in the area of security tools, application security design and architecture, secure network design and architecture, server security, and workstation security.

By spearheading a Vulnerability Management Oversight program, the Technical Principal must be continuously aware of people, process, and technology changes within the enterprise, which includes organizational structures, related roles and responsibilities, system deployments, operational workflows, and risk assessments impacted by these changes. This position is responsible for ensuring that business goals and risks are adequately addressed and therefore must utilize a consultative approach and partner with IT and Security Architecture, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to maintain continuous awareness of the enterprise's Security Posture and identify improvement opportunities. This program will be a major component in developing a Center of Excellence which will continuously monitor and report on assets and the Security Posture of the Company, ultimately driving improvements in integration of Risk into Architectural standards, framework guidance, and effectively bridging business strategy, technology, and Compliance requirements with Risk Management operations.

This Technical Principal will also provide continuous support to management and cross-functional leaders as an expert on audit concepts and technical improvements within a Controls Management program. This role will help management successfully design controls to address risks in technology based on input from risk assessments, audit findings, external assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scanning.

Essential Functions
Establish effective working relationships across the enterprise to foster a strong risk culture by supporting stakeholders in owning and managing their risks and controls. Ensure controls are successfully designed and implemented to meet Compliance requirements and business objectives. Manage relationships cross-functionally to integrate alignment with organizational strategies while addressing risk management needs.
Improve risk and control environment by providing technical expertise on enhancing the design and effectiveness of Security's control program while aligning with compliance and technical needs.
