We have an exciting new Internship opportunity for a college student currently working towards a technical degree. This position will provide project development support to the performance assurance team based in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Engineers to provide project support for development, design, construction, and post-construction activities;
Provide assistance with energy assessments including baseline profiles, end-use, and retrofit analysis;
Analyze utility bill data and sub-meter data for buildings or for building systems;
Develop methods to extract data from various system types;
Provide analysis of data from various sources, and create data visualizations to assist with project development;
Work with existing tools or create new tools that can be used for identifying insights in various projects from a variety of data sources.
Prepare technical content, proposals, analysis, feasibility reports and provide critical peer review;
Foster effective and positive business relationships with all parties throughout project phases; and,
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently working towards a bachelor's degree in technical career field.
Interest in large scale construction projects involving upgrades, renovations, and retro-fits involving institutional, government, commercial and industrial customer sites.
Interest in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects focusing on on-site assessment, design, engineering, construction, and commissioning.
Valid Driver's License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
Ability to travel to project sites, mostly located in the region.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel and Project.
Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
