Job Description
The Logistics Analyst will analyze supply chain and logistics processes by tracking and reviewing invoices, shipment status, and delivery route activity to design efficient, money-saving solutions for every step of the chain. This role will report directly into our VP of Logistics.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including transport and delivery of product, fl eet effi ciency andeff ectiveness, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution.
Maintains database(s) of logistics information.
Tracks product fl ow from origin to delivery via ERP and/or logistics systems and other appropriate methods of monitoring fl eetutilization.
Reviews logistics processes and procedures; identifi es, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize deliveryeffi ciency while minimizing costs with UPG’s private fl eet and third-party carriage.
Uses analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes.
Create reports as requested by upper-level management executives.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fi eld required.
Preferred experience in transportation and logistics.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
Pay: $25-30 an hour
