Skills

Diversity Program Management: Knowledge of the policies and techniques to manage DEI related projects; ability to plan, organize, and monitor the projects, ensuring efficient utilization of resources to achieve diversity and inclusion objectives.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company’s business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Emotional Intelligence: Knowledge of the concepts of Emotional Intelligence (EI); ability to perceive, assess and help manage the emotions of self and others while simultaneously exhibiting resiliency, drive and commitment to results.

Embedding Inclusion: Knowledge of tools, techniques, and approaches of embedding inclusion; ability to drive inclusion within workplace.

Cultural Competence: Knowledge of different cultures, values and norms; ability to understand, communicate with, and work effectively with people from various cultures.

What You’ll Do

+ Advisor to the company’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), facilitating and managing the governance related to ERG activities

+ Foster and manage relationships with diversity partners and internal stakeholders to embed DEI strategies, programs and guidelines to attract, develop and retain talented diverse workforce.

+ Collaborate across the team and assist with the implementation of key elements of the overall DEI strategy

+ Review, assess and benchmark DEI market trends to consistently deliver best practices for the organization

Who You Are

+ College or university degree or equivalent experience.

+ 5-8 years of progressive experience in related fields

+ Interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.

Location:

+ This position would ideally be located in Peoria, IL; Nashville, TN; Irving, TX; Remote in Illinois however open to considering other Caterpillar facilities within the U.S. (candidates permanent address must be within 50-mile driving distance to a Caterpillar facility)
