JOB SUMMARY

Qualified candidate will be part of the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team within the Global Information Security organization. The role shall possess SSH key / certificate management expertise and effective communications & coordination skills; and demonstrate the ability to co-drive project progress. Marriott International is initiating a multi-year program to establish a framework to standardize the SSH key / certificate lifecycle management and remediate the gaps. This role will perform as a key engineering and supporting resource for the program; and assist the program’s progressive transition to daily operations. This role will be called upon can make contributions into research, analysis, design, creation, and implementation of systems to meet current and future business requirements. The role will act as an intermediary for IT system administrators, service providers and application / system owners, collaborate with them on multiple projects for successful completion.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or related field or equivalent experience / certification

+ 5+ years of progressive experience in IT that includes:

+ 1 year of experience with process engineering

+ 1 year of scripting experience such as PowerShell, SQL query, and Unix / Linux shell

+ 1 year of engineering experience of certificate management and / or SSH key management

+ Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a matrixed, cross functional, large organization

Preferred:

+ 1 year of experience with Venafi

+ 1 year of experience with HashiCorp Vault

+ Experience with directory services, Windows, Linux, application, and database

+ Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services

+ Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

+ Experience with business analysis and requirements gathering for complex business systems

+ Experience with high availability and disaster recovery setups

+ Experience with broad areas of IAM methodologies and solutions

+ Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

+ Experience in researching emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

+ Coordinate group of SSH key & certificate stakeholders in the creation and deployment of security processes utilizing the Venafi & HashiCorp Vault solutions.

+ Work with group of stakeholders to support onboarding new applications and systems.

+ Define, document, and enforce Venafi & HashiCorp Vault policies and procedures for SSH key & certificate lifecycle management.

+ Create test cases to ensure cross platform interoperability.

+ Implement and validate security controls for the Venafi & HashiCorp Vault solutions.

+ Design security solutions to adequately address risks throughout the Marriott SDLC process.

+ Monitor the Venafi & HashiCorp Vault solutions’ service levels, and triage issues reported by the 24/7 operations team.

+ Support the identification and remediation of security events.
