SMX is seeking a Cloud Project Lead to lead a high-visibility Cloud project within the 4 th Estate / DoD Joint vertical, within the DSG Defense & National Security – Defense Digital Portfolio. This project management role will drive client engagement and solution delivery by DSG in support of the STORMBREAKER contract. DSG’s role focuses on establishing a new cloud/hybrid cloud hosting infrastructure and governance model for the INDOPACOM J5/J6 to enable deployment of STORMBREAKER in a Dev/Test/Prod manner before EOY 2023. The role is responsible for program execution, on contract growth, retention of current talent, and hiring new employees when/where required. In addition to the leadership role on STORMBREAKER, the candidate will support the management of the 4 th Estate / DoD Joint vertical (~30 employees / $4M+ in annual revenue). In this function, the successful candidate will primarily support competitive growth opportunities – in particular the recompete of incumbent work supporting the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Joint Program Office (JPO). This position is remote but may require occasional travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Manage STORMBREAKER and/or additional assigned projects, from initial customer discussion, through execution, and completion of the contract, including the development of technical requirements documents and SOWs, project plans, status reports, closeout briefings, etc.
+ Lead a team with diverse skillsets, who work both onsite and remotely
+ Coordinate across the SMX Digital Solutions Group for matrixed resources required to support customer objectives
+ Coordinate across the SMX Digital Solutions Group and Mission Solutions Group to provide support to STORMBREAKER and other cloud projects, as needed
+ Interface with customers, leading project management and technical discussions
+ Drive growth on existing for assigned program(s)
Required Skills/Experience:
+ Secret clearance (with eligibility for Top Secret)
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
+ Strong project / program management experience
+ Experience managing DoD contracts
+ Ability to manage and track multiple projects
+ Proficient in MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
+ Ability to work within a constantly evolving environment, quickly adapting to new and changing requirements
Desired Skills/Experience:
+ Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of projects / programs
+ Experience supporting BD / capture activities to include the ability to create content for proposals, serve as a book boss, and participate in color team reviews
+ Ability to be a self-starter and work independently without a lot of oversight
