Responsibilities
Manager of Community Resilience
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders in the Jewish community, community at large, and across agency programs.
Guide the development and implementation of community-based resilience and trauma recovery programs and services.
Identify and partner with area organizations to create and lead organization-specific programs to strengthen the organization's ability to respond to large and small crises.
Organize and facilitate, in collaboration with the Clinical Director, JCERT programming; operationalize plans for mobile response team and family assistance center
Provide organizational consultation on cultivating resiliency and trauma awareness.
Work with partners to cultivate community-based skill-building (e.g., , Teen Resiliency Pilot)
Coordinate and implement training and education opportunities for the community (e.g.,, Psychological First Aid)
Keep abreast of current trends, innovations and emerging research about resilience training and resources.
Leads, coaches, mentors and instructs assigned staff, interns and/or volunteers by providing orientation and ongoing training and supervision.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Jewish communal leadership, public health, or other human services field from an accredited program. Master's degree preferred.
5 or more years of experience in community engagement and/or community organizing activities.
3 or more years of experience supervising staff and/or volunteers.
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
Strong administrative and organizational skills and demonstrated ability to address competing priorities in a strategic and thoughtful manner.
Advanced ability to identify collaborative opportunities and establish and maintain partnerships.
Advanced ability to speak and write clearly and informatively with a diverse range of stakeholders in varying mediums.
Knowledge of and comfort with interacting across the diversity of the Chicagoland Jewish and broader communities.
Ability to travel to different locations primarily in the Chicago north side and suburban areas.
Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
New hires would need to be fully vaccinated with 1 or 2 doses and booster and provide their card upon hire OR begin receiving the booster within 2 weeks of being hired and participate in weekly COVID testing until fully vaccinated OR provide documentation for an ADA or religious exemption and participate in weekly COVID testing.
