Job Description
Hiring now for a Seasonal position (Summer Only) - beginning middle/end of May until the beginning of Sept.
A taste of Pepsi: The Summer- Distribution and Operations roleinvolves working with Pepsi products in the 3 different departments. The primary duties will fall under our distribution department but will also support our Warehouse and Special Events. It starts in the beginning of May and would run through early September. We are looking for hard working individuals that enjoy teamwork and variety!
Primary Responsibilities:
Distribution-
The Truck helper is primarily responsible for assisting distribution personnel in the delivery of packaged goods to designated large and small format customers. The Truck Helper will be expected to assist in the merchandising, rotation and proper storage of delivered products.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Material Handling-
The Material Handler position is primarily responsible for the effective and efficient building, staging, and loading of products. Additional duties include but are not limited to: General housekeeping, properly stocking and rotating product throughout warehouse locations, organization and staging of shells and pallets, as well as any other duties assigned by the Loading Supervisor.
Special Events-
The Special Event Summer Help is responsible for a variety of different tasks. The delivery, set-up and retrieval of product and equipment at fairs, festivals etc. as well as cleaning and servicing equipment. The special event helper is also responsible for attending Staffing events and assisting with the daily operations of the department.
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma.
Valid Drivers License
Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
Good interpersonal communication skills including ability to project a positive image of Pepsi-Cola.
Strong organizational, time management and decision-making skills with the ability to work within a highly distracting environment.
Ability to perform physical functions which will include the lifting and moving of 50 lbs. or more and pulling/pushing product loads weighing from 250 lbs. to 1,000 lbs.
Physical mobility to make frequent trips in and out of vehicle, to and from customer accounts.
The repetitive motion of one's neck, wrist, fingers, and/or arms.
Prolonged sitting, twisting, kneeling, and bending.
Must have the ability to operate 2-wheel handcarts as well as powered industrial equipment including a fork-truck in a safe manner and maintain annual fork-truck certification.
Ability to safety operate forklift (training provided).
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
This position has the potential to lead to a full-time position.
