Our Payments Team is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join their Data Services team. Their team's mission is to establish the long-term data strategy in order to provide the most innovative and efficient payment processing solutions delivered with unparalleled customer service and support. We have flexible hours and are a team of A-players who give 100%, but also know the importance of recharging and allowing time for the people we care most about. You can join us in any Jack Henry office location but you're free to work remotely within the United States.
What you'll be responsible for:
Provides analysis, design and development utilizing BI tools. Debugs and resolves data errors.
Proficient in BI toolsets to generate ETL processes including extraction of data from source systems, data mapping into a Data Lake and fulfilling custom report requests.
Creates reports and dashboards using the appropriate BI toolsets.
Provides guidance on business analytics offerings.
Provides second line internal and external customer support.
Provides technical documentation as appropriate.
Develop processes to minimize data quality risks and proactively identify potential data issue.
May serve in an on-call rotation to cover issues and requests during non-traditional business hours.
What you'll need to have:
Associate's degree required or an additional 4 years of experience doing data analytics, informatics or business intelligence for a total of 9 years of experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience doing data analytics, informatics or business intelligence.
Strong to expert level SQL developer skills.
Must be able to work after hours and weekends as the business need dictates.
What would be nice for you to have:
Previous experience as a data scientist.
Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems and make recommendations for remediation.
Experience with developing with MySQL in a Cloud-based platform - preferably AWS.
Working knowledge of Data Lake concepts.
Strong skills in at least two of the following: PowerShell, Ruby, or other scripting language.
Advanced knowledge of dimensional and relational modeling practices.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with MS Excel and Excel Macros.
Strong BI experience including a mastery in one or more of the following: data lake, reporting services, ETL, analysis service, and dimensional modeling.
