Primary Role
The successful candidates will maintain and repair all types and sizes of mains, services, fittings, hydrants, valves, meter boxes, and other appurtenances thereto. Raise, lower, remove and relocate, hydrants, services, curb boxes, valve boxes and other appurtenances. Operate valves, curb stops and hydrants; flush mains, services and hydrants as required, and other duties as assigned by management
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain and repair all types and sizes of mains, services, fittings, hydrants, valves, meter boxes, and other appurtenances thereto.
- Raise, lower, remove and relocate, hydrants, services, curb boxes, valve boxes and other appurtenances.
- Operate valves, curb stops and hydrants
- Flush mains, services and hydrants as required
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge/Skills
- Mechanical and/or construction aptitude
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license
- Computer literacy preferred
Experience/Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-2 years of experience in the water industry.
Other
- Works overtime, when required. CDL within 90 days of hire date
