Job Summary
Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for managing a team of seasoned business architects in driving the necessary changes to ensure the value proposition of business architecture is being realized across the organization. This role reports directly to the Sr. Director of Business Architecture and will have a matrix connection to business architects within HCSC's government space
Job Responsibilities:
* People management responsibilities such as managing expectations, team/individual goals, resource allocation / forecasting, and handling escalations
* Define, create, and manage governance models for key enterprise business architecture models
* Define, create, and manage a training curriculum to support the business architecture discipline
* Define, create, and manage standard procedures, policies, and guidelines to support the business architecture discipline
* Support in defining a competency model for the business architecture discipline as well as key performance metrics
* Develop strong relationships with business and IT leadership across all levels of the organization to ensure the value of business architecture is being realized
* Create and use holistic, multidimensional business views such as: Business Capability Model, end-to-end value delivery models, information models, and organizational models; and the relationships among these business views to strategies, products, policies, initiatives, and stakeholders.
* Support assessment of program/projects to ensure business/technology alignment, scope clarity, project planning, resource capacity, program governance, and risk management
Required Job Qualifications:
*4 years of experience in one or more functional areas of IT program delivery with domain knowledge in business process design and developing business requirements domain knowledge in Application architecture and IT solution design OR business process design and developing business requirements.
* Experience running or working complex IT projects.
* Customer relationship management.
* Knowledge of relevant technologies including third party solutions, or relevant business process areas.
* Oral & written communications.
* Risk management and problem solving.
* Understanding of business and IT priorities, trends, and markets.
* Ability to quickly understand complex business or technical issues, with adequate attention to detail.
* Ability to influence management decision making through strong analytical and communication skills.
* Skilled in preparing concise and compelling written summaries of complex business or technical issues, with clearly defined recommendations.
* Adaptability/ability to manage change.
* Interpersonal skills, ability to engage project stakeholders in collaborative and positive manner.
* Teamwork and effective collaboration in matrix organization.
* Ability to work independently and create required deliverables under tight time constraints.
* Time management/prioritization, ability to quickly review / understand complex project documents.
* Deep domain knowledge in one or more functional areas of IT program delivery.
* Microsoft Office including Project experience.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor or Master degree
* 1+ years management experience
* Change management experience with the ability influence senior leadership through strong analytic and communication skills
* Substantial experience in more than one of the following disciplines: Enterprise Architecture, Business Analysis, Business Process Management, Corporate Strategy, Program/Project Management, or Business Analysis
* Possess industry-recognized architecture credentials, such as the Certified Business Architect designation from the Business Architecture Guild or the TOGAF 9.2 Practitioner designation from The Open Group.
* Healthcare experience preferred but not required
