The Head, Financial Institutions Group will drive profitable relationships and provide advisory services to growing financial institutions in an expanding market. This position will partner with Credit Risk Management, Treasury Management, Corporate Treasury and other parts of the organization to identify opportunities while addressing risks and mitigates.
Key Accountabilities
5 Key areas (Prioritized in rank order):
Selling, Implementing, Servicing, Portfolio Management, and Product/Process Development and Enhancement
Assist bank clients with acquisitions, capital raising transactions and strategic advisory assignments in the Midwest and other select geographies. Responsible for client development, revenue generation and transaction execution.
Manage portfolio performance through comprehensive analysis of key performance measures, capital metrics and credit quality indicators.
Developed, integrated, and manage full-scale boutique correspondent banking strategy through development of liquidity products, credit opportunities and solutions for contingent liquidity needs.
Establish a new industry vertical, defining policies, procedures, and guidelines along with assembling a team of bankers and presenting the new strategy for executive team approval.
Enhance the group structure, sharpened the client focus and reinforced product collaboration and coordination for the new FIG vertical by shaping and executing a customized strategy.
Maximize client satisfaction through encouraging FIG to foster consultative relationships with customers in the US and abroad, focusing on pinpointing their needs.
Promote a holistic approach to services, providing resources and strategic guidance concerning client coverage, credit, treasury management and capital markets solutions.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Management and/or equivalent work experience. Master's degree with emphasis in accounting or finance preferred.
10+ years of relevant commercial banking experience with a minimum of 3+ years of progressive leadership experience required.
Proven leadership experience.
Strong communication, negotiation, technical product, and sales skills.
High level of emotional intelligence.

Build the Financial Institutional Group and educate internal partners.
Achieve personal goals for originating sales opportunities through (i) broadening and deepening existing relationships (ii) embedding multi product opportunities.
