Job Description
The Electrical Engineer will work primarily on Products for the Electrical Engineering Department. This person will spend at least 75% of his or her time on product development and improvements. Domestic and International travel may be required and travel is estimated at about 5% of the time. Will support the Corporate Quality Policy and, using TQM concepts, principles and tools, will make continuous improvements in work processes.
75% of the time should to be spent on development work and the remaining time spent on engineering support duties.
Provide technical leadership specifically in regards to switching mode power supplies, H-Bridge drivers, noise suppression, EMI/EMC.
Evaluate and select components and materials used in products to improve reliability, robustness and quality of design.
Recommend outside vendors for select tasks and projects and oversee their progress.
Will create and maintain documentation necessary for product development and manufacturing that conforms to ISO standards and TQM practices.
