Infrastructure Services Engineer II

POSITION

This position is part of the Camping World Infrastructure Services team. This position is part of a very fast paced team responsible for new store openings, remodels and acquisitions. This engineer will be responsible for managing new store projects and remodels within the team and is expected to be able to operate independently and effectively. Responsibilities include inventory management, reporting and working daily support tickets. Technical proficiency is required as Network Switches, Security Cameras and Alarm Systems are interfaced with daily.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum 2 years in Basic Low Voltage and cabling.

- Basic Computer knowledge.

- Basic Troubleshooting skills.

Other:

+ Key contributor to the design, installation and maintenance of all physical security systems including card access control systems, facility alarm systems, camera surveillance systems (CCTV, IP) and fire alarm & suppression systems to ensure optimal functionality and minimal downtime.

+ Work with local vendors to test cabling, power supplies, or other items as necessary to resolve issues.

+ Monitor, maintain and repair or replace all facility burglary alarm systems, security camera systems, and fire alarm / suppression systems.

+ Act as the front-line corporate resource dealing with location physical security matters such as fire, flood, tornados, hurricanes, vandalism, burglaries, etc.

+ Monitor and maintain ticketing system related to various user requests related to camera, burglary and fire systems. This includes items such as alarm system error codes, non-functioning communication lines or services, as well as updating call lists and code updates.

+ Maintain documentation and inventories of all associated equipment and systems including vendor systems.

+ Maintain contract terms and dates including one-off system purchases to ensure more uniform service and support. Leverage volume discounts on all system and equipment purchases when possible.

+ Maintain physical security for special tent sales and other non-standard retail events.

+ Work with vendors, construction teams, building supervisors and general contractors to make sure burglary and fire systems are installed correctly and in a timely manner. This is especially critical when working with new locations so we meet inspection deadlines and hit scheduled store opening dates.

+ Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that security systems are complete and satisfy customer and contractual requirements.

+ Oversee new system installations to ensure proper function and compliance with local, county, state, or federal codes, local permits, and any legal and insurance requirements.

+ Run electrical wiring in attics, crawl spaces and other confined spaces, which can include drilling, trenching and aerial runs. Survey and plan wire runs for Cat5e & Cat6e cable to maximize material efficiency and safety.

+ Assist and interface with the Installation Team Lead or Project Manager regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and the timely delivery of equipment.

+ Maintain proper documentation of installation issues, actions & resolutions both internally and externally (acceptance forms, service tickets, etc.)

+ Promote, build, and maintain exceptional customer and vendor relations to ensure vendor retention.

+ Responsible for the retrieval of camera footage as requested by retail or corporate locations for various needs in a thorough yet timely manner, providing the footage in the proper format that’s viewable by the requesting parties.

+ Some of our retail locations deal in the sales of firearms, so all associated security cameras and systems must be maintained at optimal levels. These systems fall under the jurisdiction of the ATF and FBI, and we’re subject to random audits. It’s imperative that any and all issues be resolved as quickly as possible and that all footage is accessible.

+ There may be an occasional need for temporarily sourcing security guards. You will engage security guard vendors and provide proper oversight including contract administration.

+ Position may require site visits to make sure installations have been properly completed, function as planned and are clean and aesthetically pleasing. 10% Expected.
