Your responsibilities in this role

- Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

- Complete other projects as required

- Participate in various department-wide initiatives

- Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing for grant compliance

- Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

- Realize compliance with grant accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners

- Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Requirements

Requirements

- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired

- Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

- Grant accounting and compliance experience

- Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

- Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Be detailed, flexible, and organized

- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

- Grant administration knowledge

- Proven knowledge of Obtain Approvals

- Experience with Grant Agreements

- Foundational knowledge in Templates

- Reviewing Contracts experience preferred

- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

- Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

- Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

- Skilled with ERP systems
