Position Summary
Seeking Research Helper to work on a Lung Cancer project that looks at genes and proteins modulated in smokers and lung cancer patients. Research helper is required to conduct basic science studies and translational studies with lung cancer patients and smokers to determine genes and proteins upregulated in smokers. Research helper will also work with the community to promote lung cancer screening.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in basic science research in order to meet research goals. Consult with research supervisor in order to assist in planning and implementing research experiments.
Perform experimental tests and assays. Record and analyze results in order to provide conclusive data for research projects. Work with survey information from smokers.
Maintain materials, methods, and records of experimental procedures, including evaluations of data accumulated.
Compile and summarize results for reports, manuscripts, grants and articles for publication.
Research literature in order to maintain a current knowledge of laboratory research methods and terminology.
Ensure safety and cleanliness of assigned laboratory. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Candidate could be working on a related Bachelor's degree or completed Bachelor's degree or associate diploma. Preferably should have experience in molecular biology and biochemistry. Proficiency with Microsoft Office beneficial.
