Position Summary
Information Technology Services at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science invites applications for a full-time Audio Visual Specialist. Under general direction, this position will collaborate with an AV support team to provide delivery and support of audio visual services to the university community, including classroom technology support, videoconferencing support, as well as production and events.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate and support multimedia systems in a professional environment, including but not limited to: sound and light boards, videoconferencing systems, integrated classroom AV systems (Crestron), and portable sound systems.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve issues with audio visual equipment and systems and other departmental technology.
Assist in event setup and breakdown as needed.
Manage assigned workloads and monitor designated work queues while providing adequate documentation of work in progress.
Ability to work occasional overtime, including nights and weekends
Perform other duties as assigned
Conditions of Employment
Must achieve satisfactory results from a background check
Must have proof of COVID 19 vaccination with booster or a university approved exemption
Required Education & Experience
High school diploma.
At least one year of experience working with audio visual equipment in a professional environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledgeable in current videoconferencing and audio visual presentation technologies.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate technical information to nontechnical people verbally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
3+ years of experience in a similar position
Experience working in an academic environment
Crestron and light/sound boards experience a plus.
