Job Description
What the Candidate Will Do- Lead a team that scopes, designs, and develops learning products, including knowledge bases and assets and assessments, to support a variety of delivery types, including self-paced, mobile, video, podcast, webinar and leader-led, focusing on digital and blended content creation
- Manage and guide stakeholders through the collaborative design process, liaising with program managers, operations, and the technology team to ensure effective design, development, implementation, feedback loop
- Serve as a senior point of contact for the instructional design and content team
- Leverage learning analytics and learner feedback to recommend improvements for each design cycle
- Establish and improve team standards and production processes in partnership with the Learning and Development leadership team
- Find new ways to produce content that scales and resonates with our increasingly global, busy audience
- Develop new learning experiences that engage and excite Uber Freight employees
- Write communications copy that is elegant, clear, concise, and persuasive, that inspires readers
- Create briefs and collaborate with business and L&D program stakeholders, ensuring content reflects needs and requirements
- Continue to build and nurture a team, empowering them to assume ownership of their work
- Coach, advise, and support employees on their work and professional growth
- Leverage strategic thinking to maximize the IDC team’s output through new technologies & tooling
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 4+ years of instructional design, learning experience design, writing, editing, and/or content management experience
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience managing learning professionals
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or certifications in relevant discipline
- Experience with learning management systems, learning design tools (Articulate Storyline and Rise, Vyond, Visme, Camtasia, etc.) and digital adoption platforms
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables under demanding and varied timelines
- Strong project management skills, this role supports the instructional design and content roadmap and keeps program development on track for an IDC team
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning and development theory and best practice
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, managing input while owning and driving the development timeline forward
- Ability to translate data from feedback to improvements to learning solutions and process
