Sr. Field Operations Specialist (Level 3)


Job Summary: 
The Senior Field Operations Specialist is responsible for various tasks associated with the SMP project. Depending upon workload, contractor resources, PGL resources, schedule and budget, the Sr. Operations Specialist may be assigned as a service marker, line of lay (LOL) walker, or work with shop management to address complaints resulting from contractor work.
Position Function, Duties, and Responsibilities: Schedule appointments with customers to discuss reason for work
Discuss proposed new meter location with customer
Mark riser location at customer premise for contractor installation & receive customer approval
Work with CPM and shop engineers during initial design for main installation
Walk the designed LOL prior to final OUC submittal
Work with all construction functions during the construction sequence to insure LOL is current, acceptable, and within project scope.
Work with shop management to ensure customer satisfaction as it relates to any and all capital construction
Required Skills and PGL Training: Interpersonal skills
Tablet usage
Experience with underground utility installations
Navigate, PGL will provide this training if needed.
Thorough understanding of PGL codes and standards as applicable to specific job functions. (i.e. TEG Standards 520, 619, 920), PGL will provide this training if needed.

Informal Leader - No direct reports
Description: 
Provides daily work direction to team members / co-workers while performing own job; may contribute to planning, work scheduling and minor decision-making regarding work methods. May provide feedback on team member/co- worker performance to immediate supervisor.

Description: 
Typically resolves straightforward problems or problems that have routine solutions; limited independent discretion; Operates under direct supervision of the Construction Project Manager.
Minimum Experience Required: 

1+ years

Staging projects or assigning and completing tasks as part of a project team.


1+ years

Utilization of Gas Operations computer systems


3+ years

Interpretation and application of construction design specifications


3+ years

Standard computer applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) to generate reports, create pertinent documentation and supply information to relevant parties.


3+ years

Experience in interpreting and applying construction design specifications.
