Job Description

Catalyst Acoustics Group, its parent company of acoustic, seismic, vibration and noise control companies that together, offer the broadest portfolio of noise control solutions in the market today.

This key position is focused on contributing to Catalyst Acoustics group growth. The position will exercise a functioning knowledge of market analysis, customer-driven product development, innovation, and promotional programs toward supporting the medium to long-range growth plans of the business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review daily assigned commodities in ERP. Attain quotes, place purchase orders and follow up on past due PO’s.
• Expedite, post pone and cancel PO’s as necessary to meet production timing.
• Review the urgent part list daily and provide current status for missing material.
• Manage supplier relationships to meet on time delivery, quality, cost containment and prompt resolution of invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure that purchasing data for assigned commodities is up to date.
• Support strategic purchasing in cost savings and supplier scorecard activities.
• Provide prompt support for internal inquiries from coworkers pertaining to assigned commodities.
• Support ongoing company initiatives for process improvements.

Job Requirement:

• Minimum 1 – 2 years purchasing experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in ERP systems along with Kanban knowledge.
• Ability to multi-task a high volume of projects at one time, successful at prioritizing tasks.
• Proficient level of competency in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, and general PC knowledge.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of supplier personnel and is responsible for maintaining supplier relationships.
• Travel in state 5%
