Client work primarily performed remotely / Location: Flexible to US based city

Job Description

Our unclaimed property practice is a proven leader in the industry, with services that include annual compliance outsourcing, audit defense, voluntary disclosures, risk assessments, asset recovery, and exemption analysis. Our technology-focused solutions are designed to assist companies of all sizes and across all industries address every aspect of unclaimed property in the most effective and efficient manner possible. With our collaborative, team-based approach, we are able to apply the right blend of skills to each unique client engagement. Whether a client needs to complement an in-house unclaimed property team or outsource all of their unclaimed property responsibilities, we apply the appropriate level of services for each of our clients.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist companies with multi-state unclaimed property matters including assessments, audit defense, or voluntary disclosure agreement process;

Prepare companies for examination(s) and voluntary disclosures by describing forthcoming requests and knowledge of the process;

Represent clients on auditor and state discussions regarding the current status of the examination or voluntary disclosures and respond to information document requests;

Tracking client requests and submissions and assisting with record review (i.e. tax documents, accounting records, policies and procedures, etc.);

Performing data analysis to identify potential unclaimed property risks;

Developing and presenting the client with strategies to mitigate potential unclaimed property exposure;

Aiding in drafting final deliverables and reports for client and state submission;

Willing to travel up to 30%.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 or more years of unclaimed property professional experience.

High quality verbal and written communication skills.

Provide timely and responsive services and work products to clients.

Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills.

Demonstrate an understanding of complex unclaimed property concepts.

Experience related to unclaimed property compliance requirements, audit defense, voluntary disclosure programs and other unclaimed property consulting services.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.

BA/BS with a concentration in accounting, finance, engineering, or information system (or similar) degrees.
