Faculty | Full-time, tenure track position | 9 months 
 Position Summary
McHenry County College seeks a full-time, tenure-track faulty instructor for the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and act as Program Chair when assigned. In addition to classroom/laboratory instruction, the chair will be responsible for the administration of the program.
 Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Including but are not limited to:


Teach assigned courses per semester; daytime and/or evening as needed
Assessment of student learning
Develop curriculum to enhance programming of Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
Maintenance of full accreditation status through ACOTE
General involvement as a faculty member in participatory College governance, advisement and recruitment of students, and college committees
Be informed of activities at the State level and keep apprised of external agency regulations and changes to regulations that directly impact the program
Work cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College in striving for educational excellence
Work with colleagues/partners to facilitate articulation of appropriate courses within those institutions
Continue professional development in area of expertise and in teaching/learning strategies
Assist in educating the public about the program through college sponsored activities
Support and participate in continuous quality improvement
 Required Qualifications

Current licensure in Illinois and certified as an Occupational Therapist or an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Minimum of five years work experience in the field of Occupational Therapy
Minimum of 3 years postsecondary teaching experience
Minimum of a master's degree awarded through an accredited institution by a USDoE-recognized institutional accrediting agency
Demonstrated commitment to professional growth
Willingness to use educational technology
Commitment to the mission of the community college, and to teaching and motivating community college students in ways appropriate to their diverse backgrounds and learning styles
