Description:
Under direct supervision from the principal investigator, the Laboratory Helper (Part-Time 50%) position manages laboratory and clinical supplies and equipment. Assists the principal investigator in collecting experimental data, abstracting and analyzing data. Sets up laboratory supplies and maintains equipment including cold equipment temperatures.

Duties & Responsibilities
Orders laboratory supplies, equipment and reagents through University contracted vendors
Conducts inventory, sorts and stores laboratory and clinical equipment.
Setup and conducts basic experiments
Assists with pipetting, blotting, imaging, etc.
Contributes to ophthalmology translational research.
Ensures laboratory and translational spaces are well maintained and organized
Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
