Overview
The Business Analyst reviews and analyzes key business metrics to devise plans for improvement, then communicates these findings with the Executive VP of Operations and other key leaders. As an excel expert, you thrive in analyzing data and creating spreadsheets. This position will work very closely with the Executive VP of Operations as well as the SVP of Business Intelligence.
Responsibilities
Gather, review, and analyze data.
Excel expert with knowledge of basic functions and formulas, if/then statements, v-lookup, pivot tables, CSV manipulation, Key Performance Indicator dashboard creation, VBA.
Continually build useful analysis reports (via the use of our system technology).
Data integration (input) from another 3rd party financial, market, and customer service data system
Assists with special projects as needed
Qualifications
Basic understanding of financial statements
At least 2 years in a business analyst role in a service-based industry Hospitality or F&B industry is preferred but not required.
Must display a positive and proactive attitude; and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships, often with key senior leadership
Advanced Excel capabilities - pivot tables, formulas, formatting, conditional formatting, macros, dashboards, etc. required.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision
Outstanding critical thinking and analytical skills
Candidate should possess good communication skills and work well in groups
Ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
Remote / based in Central, Mountain time ideal
Position to be full-time remote and include health, dental, vacation, PTO, cell phone reimbursement, and tuition reimbursement among other benefits. Computer equipment and office supplies will also be included within reason. Travel expenses will be paid where necessary.
