We are seeking a career focused self-starter to join Landrum & Brown's (L&B's) dynamic team of airport planners. This position will be located in our Chicago, IL office. The successful candidate will will work alongside airports planners and airport managers to plan and advance airport development projects . The ideal candidate has excellent technical skills combined with effective written and verbal communication skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.
This position will provide support to project managers and task managers to fulfill client needs regarding airport planning projects. Verify airport data, analyses, and description of associated impacts. Present data clearly using written or graphical tools and complete these tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Works directly with clients on a variety of airport planning, noise abatement, and environmental regulatory approvals
Participates and assists in organizing numerous community relations efforts and public meetings
Develops and maintains electronic data sets and files and performs data analysis and comprehensive data reporting in a variety of tables, charts, and reports
Performs technical writing and thorough research and analysis
Prepares draft reports, presentations, schedules, meeting materials, and other deliverables based on direction from senior staff as well as individual efforts
Provides technical assistance and is responsive to requests for data and information from clients as well as internal staff
Maintains good communication with the project team
Potential for field work
Bachelor's or master's degree in related field
Highly articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical/technical skills
Self-motivated
Works well in a team environment.
Knowledge or interest in the aviation industry and airport operations
