Faculty Research Participant - Scott Feister

at Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, Illinois, United States

Job Description

Faculty/lab staff partnership with Scott Feister to build HPC modules for undergraduate curricula. Our goal this summer are to develop modular curriculum that can be integrated into established minority-serving institution (MSI) undergraduate course work (both in computer science and domain science classes). Course content we design will leverage DOE supercomputing facilities. These will also bring in real-world examples relevant to students (potentially based off DOE science).

Scott will also be supporting the HPC Boot Camp at end-of-summer, in which students from around the country will come to Argonne for experiences in HPC. For most students who attend our workshop, this will be their first contact with supercomputing.
