The Vice President of Institutional Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is charged with creating the vision for diversity, equity, and inclusion (“DEI”) at Loyola, and will lead the development of the strategy for the institution along with overseeing the implementation and assessment of that strategy.

The Executive Assistant to the VP of IDEI will be expected to establish efficient coordination and operation, including:

+ Overseeing the development and execution of the Vice Presidents calendar, anticipating conflicts and effectively negotiating competing interests.

+ Preparing the Vice President for meetings and events, note-taking, and where appropriate, summarizing and preparing responses and tracking action items to ensure responsiveness and closure.

+ Taking ownership on project + event management within the Office of IDEI

+ Providing general support and other duties as assigned including administrative tasks and other initiatives within the office of IDEI

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

Must have completed college and at least five years of related experience. Experience in higher education strongly preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

+ Must have completed college and/or at least 5-7 years of related experience. Experience in higher education strongly preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.

+ A deep passion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

+ Superior organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, exercise considerable judgment and manage multiple projects to completion in an efficient manner.

+ Demonstrated experience in efficient project management and managing logistics and operations for programs and events.

+ A desire to work well with others in a highly collaborative environment with the expectation that one will ask for support whenever needed.

+ An entrepreneurial mindset with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

+ An ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize among competing tasks.

+ Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office and Adobe suites of tools, cloud storage and sharing, video conferencing, and other office management tools such as mail merges.

+ Performance skills in real-time notetaking and summarizing meeting minutes.

+ Inclination to take initiative to research answers and suggest solutions for episodic and recurring issues.
