About the Role
New Verticals is a fast-growing startup within Uber that enables consumers to get just about anything delivered through the Uber Eats app or UberEats.com. As a Senior Strategic Operations Manager, you will be directly responsible for a specific portion of the New Verticals business and contribute to our efforts to improve the experience and growth across grocery, convenience, and alcohol, ensuring a quality and reliable experience for consumers, merchants and/or earners - all while implementing tools & processes to make our business operations more efficient.
You will work cross-functionally with other teams (i.e. Support, Operations, Sales, Product, Marketing, Legal) to lead high impact initiatives that can scale new lines of business across the US & Canada while offering ownership and autonomy over your work as we exponentially grow this new arm of the Uber Eats business.What You'll Do
Strategy: Build business plans to operate optimally to make our business efficient and the experience better for end users
Data analysis: design, execute and automate processes to run and optimize the business performance and reliability. You will autonomously build your own analyses and dashboards to measure your projects' success
Experiment: perform analysis and experiments to find growth opportunities for the New Verticals business
Project Management: Identify, plan, and implement projects backed by root cause analyses to improve our existing processes and policies
Stakeholder management: Orchestrate and bring together the work of a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Product, Finance, Account Management, Support, Policy, Communications and Legal while driving accountability to ensure deadlines are met
Be voice of the customer internally: be the eyes and ears to our product teams for the features that we need for next year's big bets, helping to prioritize future application changes, and you'll help launch all the new product features as we go to marketBasic Qualifications
3+ years of professional work experience in a related field (consulting, operations, strategy, analytics, tech, investment banking)
Excel/Google Sheets proficiency. SQL a plusPreferred Qualifications
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
Experience problem solving and proposing unique solutions to complex issues
Strong experience building and executing complex processes
Proven ability to balance multiple critical tasks and consistently delivering against hard deadlines
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills - building deep, trust-based relationships with territory and cross functional teams
Unparalleled business judgment and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to quickly develop strategies and make decisions
Bachelor degree
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $107,000 per year - $119,000 per year.
For Miami, FL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $107,000 per year - $119,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $119,000 per year - $132,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $119,000 per year - $132,500 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits. More details can be found at the following link .
