Job Description

Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks Application Subject Matter Consultant to leverage strong knowledge and experience on the MuleSoft platform to perform hands-on technical design and coding, delivering highly functional API led integration solutions. Specific duties include: working with the Business, Salesforce, other application teams, and the Integration Architect to understand Zurich’s business/application needs; responsible for taking a lead role in designing robust and scalable solutions to meet those needs; leverage expertise in MuleSoft platform components including and occasionally work with external clients to successfully integrate Zurich’s APIs into their applications; troubleshoot complex production issues with APIs, identify source of the issue and get the issue fixed; serve as technical lead on projects to design, develop, test, document, and deploy robust integration solutions on the MuleSoft platform; and evaluate requirements and provide estimation of efforts. Position requires MuleSoft Platform Architect certification. Option to work remotely with required travel to the Schaumburg, IL headquarters at least 2 days a week.


Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or similar position in software development or technology consulting. Must have 7 years of Middleware integration experience including programming skills using SOAP / REST Web Services, MuleSoft, XSLT, XML, JSON, OSB, BPEL, JAVA, JMS, and JavaScript. Must also have 4 years of experience working with: databases DB2, Oracle, and MySQL; source control using GIT or SVN and continuous integration/deployment using Maven and Jenkins; Salesforce. Com; MDM, PEGA, EDB, Workday, and SAP; J2EE technologies including Struts, Spring, Hibernate; servers Tomcat and WebLogic; business team and SMEs; team to influence proper standards for development, governance, and operational life cycle; development using agile to conceptualize and deliver software. Additionally, must have 3 years of experience working with:  MuleSoft API development and cloud hub and RTF environments; service design using RAML (with JSON) and ODATA; Integration Architecture concepts, principles, and patterns to design API, Service Oriented Architecture, Batch Integration, and RESTful JSON services; cloud-based technologies and integration to technologies hosted in Azure. Specific experience must also include 2 years of experience in integration with Guidewire and Azure Data Lake. Must be certified MuleSoft Platform Architect. Option to work remotely with required travel to the Schaumburg, IL headquarters at least 2 days a week.
