Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Electronic Security Install Technician to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will service and support existing customers by responding to service calls, carrying out Customer Support Programs and small projects business. What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"
Installs, programs, test, repairs, and services a variety of systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation with guidance as needed.
Works closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing technical installation support and training. Refers more complex issues to more experienced colleagues.
Interprets manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
Provides basic installation assistance as directed by project lead.
Makes suggestions for installation methods to improve profitability and quality.
Provide basic hand tools as required to perform the daily tasks of the position.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
What You'll Need
Basic construction skills and understanding of system plans.
Basic ability to read and understand blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).

Requirements:
Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience
System Technician Class D MA license required
Certified DMP/Verint/Parabit a plus
Preferred Experience: (but not required):
3-5 years relevant field service
Certifications: DMP, Bosch, Verint, Lenel, S2, Software House, Genetec, Milestone
