We are currently hiring for:
Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Job Summary: This position exists because of the need to transport the products, supplies and materials for West Liberty Foods from origin to destination in the safest, most efficient and cost effective manner in order to meet the needs and expectations of our customers, both internal and external.
Job Responsibilities:
Schedule pickup and delivery load appointments
Request load tracking updates from carriers
Request POD's from carriers as needed
Set up new carriers in TMS
Assist Transportation Planner with building loads
Update weekly OTIF report
Drive continual improvement in quality, productivity, efficiency and cost.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Partner with all departments of the organization.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Minimum one year of dispatching experience is preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
One year experience with Transportation Management Systems.
Ability to perform basic math.
Must be able to work independently without constant supervision
Must be able to problem solve
Must be detailed oriented
Computer experience - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment of continuous change and challenges.
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends according to schedule.
Candidates must successfully pass the post-offer/pre-employment drug test and background screen.
