Job Description:
Entry-level technician opening with an environmental consulting firm in Elmhurst, IL. Field-based position. Candidates must be able to travel for 2-to-4 days at a time when assigned to non-local clients. 50% travel – regional. Full-time, year-round position with opportunity for advancement. Starting Pay: $21.00/Hour. Employees typically earn $50,000+ with overtime pay their first year.Responsibilities:
+ Perform third-party EPA emissions testing and monitoring for industrial, manufacturing and commercial clients
+ Transport equipment to job-sites using company vehicle
+ Set up and break down of testing equipment
+ Equipment calibrations
+ Assist engineers in air quality testing procedures
+ Environmental, health and safety procedures on site
+ Organize and load testing equipment into vehicles for upcoming jobs
+ Maintenance and cleaning of testing equipment
Qualifications:
+ B.S. Degree in Environmental Science, Geology or related preferred
+ Previous experience working in a field-based role
+ Mechanical aptitude
+ Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.
