Job Description
Commonwealth Edison seeks Senior Engineering Design Tech in Rockford, IL to develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and bills of materials for complex electrical systems involving utility infrastructure installation, removal, or modification, including customer contact, scheduling, and engineering activities; coordinate, track, and monitor electrical requirements of new business projects to meet customer needs; interpret and apply engineering standards and memos; provide technical assistance to engineering design technicians; and oversee financial requirements of assigned projects. Requires bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, U.S. or foreign equivalent, plus three years' power system engineering experience, or alternatively a Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and two years' power system engineering experience.
