Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Compliance Analyst.  Under direction, this position will independently conduct monthly compliance analysis of performance and outcomes of the Title IV-E, Title IV-B, Emergency Assistance, and Medicaid Programs, preparing specialized reports of finding.  The position will select random child welfare files for review and coordinate and conduct a monthly quality assurance review of cases determined to be eligible and claimable for Title IV-E by the Eligibility Determination Unit.  Additionally, this position will perform revenue enhancement-related special projects of a time-limited nature and manage and perform eligibility determinations for special populations.  This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is interested in playing a role in ensuring that federal claiming activities are performed in an efficient, effective manner.  DCFS offers a competitive compensation plan, excellent benefits, and a pension program.  The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent organizational skills and strong communication skills.  We invite you to join our innovative team to help make a positive difference in the lives of the children and families of Illinois

 

Job Responsibilities
  1. Serves as Compliance Analyst, independently conducts monthly compliance analysis of performance and outcomes of the Title IV-E, Title IV-B, Emergency Assistance, and Medicaid Programs, preparing specialized reports of findings, Selects random child welfare files for review, Organizes and assists in leading the review team comprised of management and front-line staff, Provides input into federal and state audits of Title IV-E, Title IV-B, Emergency Assistance, and Medicaid Programs
  2. Coordinates and conducts a monthly quality assurance review of cases determined to be eligible and claimable for Title IV-E by the Eligibility Determination Unit
  3. Performs revenue enhancement-related special projects of a time-limited nature
  4. Identifies deficiencies and potential problem areas, both case specific and within the overall process, including but not limited to forms usage and systemic problems.
  5. Provides input into ongoing training among Reimbursement Officer I and Reimbursement Officer II’s within the Eligibility Determination Unit
  6. Provides support for ongoing monthly determination work, such as, but not limited to monthly streamline and Medicaid redeterminations.
  7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
