Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Children's Hospital of Illinois is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center seeking a PRN Pediatric Surgeon to assist with call, clinic and surgical cases.
High percentage of index cases; full complement of complex minimally invasive equipment including robotics capability.
Large built-in referral base with growing pediatric physician program
Block surgical time with supporting resources in place: operating room team.
Latest daVinci Xi system for robotic cases.
Comprehensive support services to optimize surgical care across the continuum. Services included but not limited to the following: fellowship trained pediatric anesthesiologists, fellowship-trained radiologist, child life services, neonatologists, pediatric intensivists/hospitalists and dedicated advance practice provider to support surgeon on the inpatient units.
Must be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Surgery; be eligible for an Illinois license; have strong teaching abilities and interest in clinical research.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Doctorate Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty (ies).
Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
