Job Description
Job Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Chicago Illinois. Remote work permitted two to three days per week within commuting distance of Chicago, IL. Software engineering role responsible for contributing to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of applications and technology solutions. Contribute to all phases of software development lifecycle (SDLC), including analysis, planning, design, development, coding, testing, support, and maintenance of financial applications. Work closely with business teams to gather requirements, create business specifications and high level/low level design documentation, build test plans, coordinate user acceptance testing, deliver technical solutions to complex business problems and improve efficiency. Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines using industry standard build and deployment tools. Apply data analysis skills to deal with and effectively manage large data sets. Troubleshoot and resolve project and/or production issues in timely manner with minimum supervision. Perform quality assurance (QA) testing and provide post go-live support. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies, but no prior knowledge of proprietary technologies required. Coach and mentor junior engineers through onboarding and grow their software development processes and technical skills. Perform code reviews to enforce code quality and coding standards. Perform technical interviews with potential candidates during the hiring process to assess a candidate’s skills and technical proficiency.
