Medical Office Assistant:
Starting pay for this position is $17.05/hour.
POSITION SUMMARY: Medical Office Assistants perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training and experience. Works in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical and assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities. The Medical Office Assistant performs duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school or GED equivalent Experience: Minimum of six months experience with computer, Microsoft Office and email Minimum of 6 months health care facility clinical experience or clinical education(including enrollment or completion of OSF MSS MOA Bridge Program).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent Minimum of six months experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent Minimum of six months experience with an electronic health record Some knowledge of medical terminology Licensure/Certifications - BLS
Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant
Starting pay for this position is $19.19/hour; base pay offered may increase based on experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Medical Assistant will perform delegated clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training, and experience. May work in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical support, assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities at the direction of the physician/provider. The incumbent performs the duties described below in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school or GED equivalent. Certificate of completion/Diploma from a medical assistant program
Other Licenses/Certifications: CMA-Certified Medical Assistant Current certification by one the following approved certifying agencies:
American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), earning CMA credential;
American Medical Technologists (AMT), earning RMA credential;
National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), earning NCMA credential;
National HealthCare Association (NHA), earning CCMA credential
Other skills/knowledge: Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with an electronic health record, phlebotomy
