Job Description

Our client, a leading company in the electrical industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead their Electrical Division. This would oversee two manufacuring sites in Illinois and Wisconsin. Reporting to the Group President, the VP of Sales will drive market share growth and enhance brand recognition. Responsibilities:

+ Manage a team of sales professionals, setting and monitoring performance targets, and aligning the team with the overall business strategy.

+ Develop and implement sales strategies that align with business objectives and drive revenue growth.

+ Lead by example, providing ongoing coaching and development to the sales staff.

+ Foster strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their satisfaction and retention.

+ Identify new business opportunities, develop go-to-market plans, and oversee their successful execution.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of sales initiatives.

+ Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and potential threats.

+ Provide regular reporting and insights to the senior leadership team. Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or any industry-related field.

+ Minimum of 10 years of sales experience within the Motor/Transformer/Electrical steel market, with at least 8 years in a leadership capacity.

+ 5+ years of experience working in a sales role utilizing CRM software.

+ Proven track record of building and managing a sales team, resulting in a dynamically growing sales funnel.

+ Experience structuring and leading operationally sound, revenue-focused organizations with a history of quota overachievement.

+ Proficiency in sales reporting and KPI metrics management.

+ Demonstrated ability to improve key sales metrics and achieve overall revenue targets.

+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

+ Strong experience in managing and closing complex sales opportunities.

+ Ability to develop long-term business relationships, exceptional listening skills, and the ability to collaborate with other departments to support customer service.

+ Comfortable presenting to large groups on behalf of the company.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
