As a Senior Individual Contributor in the Tools and Flow Methodology team, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining the design and verification tools and methodologies used in VLSI design. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of advanced ASIC products and drive the adoption of efficient design flows and methodologies across the organization; therefore, you will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Develop, customize, and maintain the design tools and methodologies used in VLSI design.

+ Collaborate with tool vendors to understand and influence the direction of tool development.

+ Develop and maintain documentation, best practices, and design guidelines to ensure that the team is following industry-standard methodologies.

+ Work with senior management to identify and prioritize tool and flow improvements to increase productivity and quality.

+ Train and mentor junior engineers in the use of the tools and methodologies developed by the team

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or in a related field of study.

+ 6+ years of experience in VLSI design, preferably in a tools and methodology development role.

+ Programming experience in Perl, Python, TCL, or Shell scripting.

+ Experience in EDA tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, and Mentor Graphics.

+ Experience in digital ASIC design flow and methodology.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Post Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study.

+ Experience with low power, high-speed, or mixed-signal design methodologies.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $139,480.00-$209,760.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
